OUR PROCESS
THARP PALLET COMPANY
Chemical Treatments
We recently invested in an Eagle dip tank that has twin hoists. Once the lumber has been graded and stacked it is banded and taken to the dip tank. The twin hoists allow us to treat two packages of lumber each time. Once the forklift operator has placed the lumber in the hoists the treatment process can begin.
Mold Treatments
Mold is a constant and serious issue that haunts the wooden pallet industry. Many customers in the food processing industry have major concerns with stacking their products on moldy pallets. Each species of lumber contains a different moisture content, which means that some species may be more susceptible to mold.
Heat Treatments
Heat treating is a process that is used to eliminate the presents of pests in the lumber that we use to build pallets. We have two large propane fueled heat treating kilns, each capable of treating an entire load of pallets at one time. The heat treating process is a required for pallets that are going to be exported outside of the United States.
